my hobby

I'm still making and messing around creating earrings and such for friends, family and of course myself....Just wanted to share with you a few of my recent favorites.....

rose quartz, freshwater pearl and silver

I wore these to an event recently, black glass beads, freshwater pearl and silver

The quality of this picture isn't so great, but I love the contrast of these yellow glass beads with these big pink pearls

I found these wooden beads at a shop in DC a few years ago and I love how they look paired in between two freshwater pearls.

End of Summer

Goodness! Its already labor day and I have my second thesis chapter deadline on Wednesday! I have to admit, the end of summer is my favorite time of year. I love the warm days and the cool nights, and the afternoon light which is just phenomenal at this time of year. We've been busy spending time at the lake, saying adios to Jon's brother and his girlfriend as they make the big trek across the country to California, celebrating our first wedding anniversary, and trying to figure out how we'll spend out next year of marriage :). I don't have a lot of time, but I'll just let the pictures speak for themselves!

p.s. You will notice the name of this blog has changed a little. It was originally called not really blogging material, because when I told Jon I had started a blog he said "are you sure you are blogging material?" Thus the title. The name has changed to Park & Belmont, because its an important intersection to me, and to Jon...important enough to change my blog name and to call my etsy store after this little intersection.
