disaster

I am the worst bride ever. I was so proud of myself because invitations had been ordered and mailed to us in Virginia by the sweetest girl ever who I found on etsy. I. am. an.idiot. I spelled my future mother in laws name wrong. Totally completely my fault. &#*($#!

I showed my future sister in law the invite design, she "ohhhed and ahhhhd" and then said "oh no!" When I told my FMIL, she was absolutely lovely about it and said we should not worry, everyone spells her name wrong. It is pretty much both JM and my fault for missing the one little letter that is causing the trouble!!! She suggested we white out the messed up part of her name and then she'd be announced by her nickname. She does not want us to have them reprinted, but JM and I are thinking we might just do it any ways. People misspell my name all the time, so I am completely sensitive to these types of mistakes!

GAHHHHHH!!!!!!!

I think your idea of reprinting enough for her family/close people who would notice is good. Other people won't know the difference. And you'll want some of your invites to be perfect because they are too nice to have a mistake that will bug you for the rest of your life every time you think of them or see them.

everyone makes mistakes so don't feel too bad about it! i like allie's idea of only reprinting some, it's a good compromise.

If it makes you feel better, I misspelled our venue and didn't notice it on 5 proofs... and noticed it the second I opened the final product.
